On January 10th, CBS announced that Criminal Minds would be renewed for a fifteenth and final season. This brought forth many questions from fans alike concerning how the show would finish, who would make appearances and of course, would Thomas Gibson's character "Aaron Hotchner" be returning for a final farewell...
It has not been easy for Thomas Gibson...
With Gibson being suspended and ultimately fired from the show back in August 2016, it's hard to say whether or not the actor will be invited back to make a cameo appearance in the final season of the series. According to TV Line, showrunner Erica Messer was not commenting on the return of Gibson at this point. She said "what I'd love to do is honor the history of the series in some way that is satisfying for all of us, and I don't know exactly what that will be.
Disppointment for fans worldwide
As we're closing a chapter on the series, I want to be sure that we're honoring all of those people who were here and the lives that we've all been invested in for so long."
We aren't sure if we will get to see all of our favourite past characters on screen, but all we can do is wait to find out!
