Let's face it, who doesn't love a good Disney classic? Here at Promipool we are always up for what Disney has to throw at us and this year will be no exception. Live-action remakes of our favourite classic Disney tales, have become more of a norm that we expect from the Disney film industry. From Cinderella Beauty and the Beast Christopher Robin and The Jungle Book to Maleficent, Alice in Wonderland and Mary Poppins Returns, these live-action Disney films have transported us back to a place of wonder and magic. 

This year, we can expect three new live-action remakes from Disney including Dumbo, Aladdin and The Lion King. We are going to give you a little more detail on each film including the cast, release date and some exciting teaser images. Here we go...

Dumbo is set to hit theatres on March 29th, 2019. Directed by Tim Burton, this Disney classic about a young elephant whose large ears enable him to fly and help save a struggling circus, only to discover dark secrets beneath the glitz and glam of the circus, is sure to rock the big top. Starring Eva Green, Colin Farrell, Micheal Keaton, Danny DeVito, Alan Arkin and Lucy DeVito, this movie is a must-see for all Disney-lovers!

The live-action remake of Aladdin is set to be released on May 24th, 2019. With an incredible cast line-up consisting of Naomi Scott, Will Smith, Mena Massoud, Billy Magnussen and Marwen Kenzari, this film is sure to be a hit. Since Aladdin was first released in 1992, this live-action remake has been highly anticipated and we absolutely can't wait to see what director Guy Ritchie has in store for us!

The CGI re-imagining of the 1994 Disney classic The Lion King, is set to hit the big screen on July 19th, 2019. Directed by Jon Favreau and consisting of a star-studded cast, this film is sure to bring tears to everyone's eyes. With Donald Glover as the voice of "Simba", Seth Rogen as "Pumbaa", James Earl Jones as "Mufasa" and Beyoncé voicing "Nala", we can't wait for this nostalgic film that's sure to take us back! 

Disney's live-action remakes aren't stopping there. Mulan is set to hit theatres on March 27th, 2020 so mark your calendars for yet another amazing Disney live-action classic retelling!
