On Thursday, it was revealed by Eliza Dushku to the New York Times that claims against her former Bull costar, Micheal Weatherly concerning inappropriate remarks made by the actor at the beginning of their professional relationship, were made.

In March 2017, Dushku joined the cast of the CBS prime-time drama Bull in a three-episode arc, with plans to be added as a series regular. Not long after her start, alleged comments from Weatherly surrounding her appearance, a threesome and a rape joke were made and she confronted him about his behaviour. After the confrontation, she learned she was written off the show and signed a confidential settlement from CBS that was worth $9.5 million, which is about what she would have made as a Bull cast member for four seasons.

Quick to come to Weatherly's defense were two former NCIS co-stars, Pauley Perrette and Sasha Alexander through their twitter accounts.

Micheal Weatherly did issue a sincere apology to the Times in a statement saying "when Eliza told me she wasn't comfortable with my language and attempt at humor, I was mortified to have offended her and immediately apologized. After reflecting on this further, I better understand that what I said was both not funny and not appropriate and I am sorry and regret the pain this caused Eliza."
