Amy Adams is the latest celebrity to become part of the social media world, and with good reason! On Monday, Adams made her very first Instagram post, where she talked about why she's now chosen to get involved with the photo and video sharing platform.

"I’ve decided to finally join to shine a spotlight on kids across the country who need our help and support during this difficult time," Adams explained in an IGTV video. Then, she went on to talk about the exciting new cause she and Jennifer Garner are championing together!

Adams and Garner launch online "Save With Stories" initiative

Adams revealed that she and Garner have created a new project intended to help kids who may be struggling with the uncertain times the world is experiencing at present. "My friend @jennifer.garner and I are launching @SAVEWITHSTORIES – a spot to watch your favorite celebrities read your favorite children’s books," Adams wrote in her caption. "We are galvanizing as a community to support a new fund for a combined effort between SAVE THE CHILDREN and Share Our Strength’s NO KID HUNGRY (and a big thank you to our founding publisher, Scholastic♥️)."

In Adams' first book selection for the literacy-based program, she chose to read a unique selection that's meaningful to her own family. That's because The Dragon Princess, which Adams can be seen reading aloud in the video, was written by her daughter and illustrated by her husband! Garner also took to her own Instagram account to promote the "Save With Stories" initiative, with a video featuring herself and Adams talking about the cause.
