Born October 21, 1976 in Dublin, Ireland, Andrew Scott was obsessed with acting from an early age and would get his start in theatre. After studying at Dublin's Abbey Theatre he would go on to star in a number of successful plays including:
- Long Day's Journey into the Night (1998)
- Broadway's The Vertical Hour (2006-07)
- The Royal Court's Cock (2009)
- The Royal National Theatre's Emperor and Galilean (2011)
- and The Royal Court's Birdland (2014)

Andrew Scott, Fleabag's "The Priest", would eventually rise to fame on screen after playing the part of "Jim Moriarty" on BBC series Sherlock. Starring in 8 episodes from 2010 to 2017, while playing "Sherlock's" nemesis, the series helped to launch Scott's rise to fame.
While he had smaller roles in films and TV series like Saving Private Ryan (1998) and My Life in Film (2004), Sherlock would be the push Andrew Scott needed to boost his name. In 2019, Scott would land the next big series of his career, Fleabag. Now having starred in 6 episodes of the BBC series, although his role has been small, Andrew Scott has become everyone's favorite priest—and, dare we say it, a handsome one!

In addition to Fleabag, Andrew Scott has also taken on roles in hit films like Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016) and 1917 (2019). Andrew also continues to dominate on stage, his most notable performance to date is in 2017's Hamlet!
Although the Irish actor doesn't divulge much about his private life, he is openly gay and currently lives with his long-time partner. Scott is a huge advocate for legalizing gay marriage and quite the opposite of his on-screen character "The Priest"!
