Despite Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt dealing with a rocky divorce, to say the least, Jolie is hoping their day at court will be fair and even. The starlet is getting more and more anxious as the court date approaches, and has spoken to her lawyers to ensure it will be just that!

Brad Pitt has faced some scrutiny in the last few years for his past addictions but has since focused on being clean, sober, and present to make sure he is the best father he can be to his six children.

A messy custody battle makes Angelina nervous

Angelina Jolie is prepping for the final day in court, where both she and her ex-husband, Hollywood hottie Brad Pitt, will battle it out for a custody deal.

The starlet has filed a request that the present judge set to be at the proceedings is removed. In her request, Jolie alleged the judge "failed to make timely mandatory disclosures of ongoing business and professional relationships between himself" and Pitt's attorneys.

However, Pitt responded back to his ex-wife saying that she "has never objected to [their judge’s] continued involvement in this proceeding until now."

He also continued in his statement, "Unfortunately, the individuals hurt most by Jolie’s transparently tactical gambit are the parties’ own children, who continue to be deprived of a final resolution."

In a statement to UsWeekly, Jolie's lawyer stated, "All my client is asking for is a fair trial based on facts, with no special favours extended to either side."

Her lawyer continued, "The only way litigants can trust the process is for everyone involved to ensure that there’s transparency and impartiality."

In her latest filing, Jolie stated she "made a simple inquiry. When that inquiry revealed a failure to adhere to clear ethical rules, she immediately raised the issue."

The statement continued, "Until three weeks ago, she had no idea what had been going on behind her back. By contrast‚ Pitt’s counsel was fully aware of what was happening and presumably knew the rules requiring disclosure but remained silent and did not suggest to Judge Ouderkirk that he should be disclosing. Any gamesmanship has been by Pitt."

The couple shares six children together, and split in 2016, marking this year four of their divorce proceedings. The custody trial is set to take place this October.
