Oasis

Despite being brothers, Oasis members Noel and Liam Gallagher couldn't stand each other! In the '90s when the band was reaching international superstardom, Liam and Noel were constantly fighting on stage, including throwing instruments at each other and changing each other's lyrics.

The two were always quitting and re-entering the band, dropping out of shows last minute, and getting into physical altercations in the studio. In 2009, the band broke up for good, and despite them never continuing to tour or create more music, it seems the feud isn't over. The two still heckle each other over Twitter.

The Smashing Pumpkins

The Smashing Pumpkins are a '90s classic, creating some of the most memorable grunge performances of their time. However, it wasn't always sunshine and lollipops once they exited the stage.

It all started in 1996 when drummer Jimmy Chamberlin shot heroin with their keyboardist Jonathan Melvoin in New York City, which resulted in a nasty overdose that left Melvoin deceased. After the tragedy, Chamberlin continued to use drugs and alcohol and repeatedly missed studio sessions.

A few years later, Chamberlin returned to record a new album, and frontman Billy Corgan apparently began to get way too controlling for bassist D'arcy Wretzky.

The Smashing Pumpkins continued to tour well into the 2000s, but Wretzky never returned, and Corgan says the real reason they're broken up was never due to Chamberlin's addictions, but rather Wretzky's "mean-spirit" and "minimal contributions" to the band.

The Libertines

While most people would say that Pete Doherty from The Libertines is a complete mess due to his impending heroin addiction, Doherty would blame guitarist Carl Barât for the fallout.

While Doherty was a drug, sex and rock'n'roll enthusiast, Barât was oftentimes violent and would also dabble in varying substances. Once, it got so bad Barât smashed his face on a marble sink repeatedly after an alcohol-infused night, and almost completely had his eye fall out.

The violence was too much for Doherty, and he even admitted that there was a time he was a "little afraid" of his bandmate. Eventually, the constant arguments and drunken spats were too much, and the band split up.

Blink 182

Before Travis Barker was making headlines for who he was dating, the famous drummer was just a punk rocker who wanted to make some noise! In 2015, Barker and Mark Hoppus announced that Tom DeLonge had left the band and that they will be continuing a tour without him.

Shortly after, DeLonge said that wasn't the case and that he never quit. Barker and Hoppus continued back and forth for a while about who was kicking who out, and it was a pretty awkward thing for all of us to watch. They still haven't ever returned on stage or in the studio since it all went down, but Barker has had plenty of other projects since then.

Van Halen

One of the most iconic bands of all time, Van Halen, had some issues behind closed studio doors! Guitarist Eddie Van Halen and frontman David Lee Roth have a constant back and forth feud, and it seemed that the two never really put it to rest.

The late guitarist slammed Roth for being self-absorbed and childish. Van Halen even went so far as to say he "needs to act his age", and that was 30 years after they broke up!

Sex Pistols

We all know Sid Vicous and Johnny Rotten were once a part of the famous punk band the Sex Pistols, and fans of the rock group are not surprised to hear that the group had some major drama.

Frontman Rotten wanted to be taken a bit more seriously than just a group of guys that can't play an instrument, but that's precisely what happened. When Vicious joined, it was an ongoing joke that he didn't even know how to play the bass, but just wanted to be a part of a band.

Rotten and Vicious also had plenty of arguments regarding the infamous Nancy Spungen, who was said to be problematic and fueled Sid's drug and alcohol habit. Since Sid's passing, Rotten has become a bit nicer toward his ex-bandmate.

KISS

Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley in one corner, and Peter Criss and Ace Frehley in another! The famous '70s rockers and members of the band KISS out forward a chaotic image, but behind the scenes, Simmons and Stanley wanted to be taken seriously, and the drug and alcohol-fueled Frehley and Criss were too much to handle.

They were both fired indefinitely, and Simmons said that he would welcome them back for a song or two, but if he had to rely on them for shows night after night, Simmons said "not a f***g chance".

The Beach Boys

Cousins Mike Love and Brian Wilson weren't feeling any good vibrations when recording their most critically renowned album Pet Sounds. Love felt that Wilson was cheating him for vocal parts and not listening to any of his ideas.

Furthermore, Love has sued Wilson time and time again for not giving him proper credits, and the two have continued their feud to this day.

Aerosmith

Joe Perry and Steven Tyler have such a volatile relationship, they've been famously dubbed the "Toxic Twins". Aerosmith made huge waves in rock music in the '70s through till the '90s, but it wasn't for lack of trying.

The bandmates had a huge love-hate relationship, and it wasn't a secret that they'd get into huge spats in the studio. Of course, this was largely in part to the fact both Perry and Tyler would say yes to just about any drug you'd put in front of them, which, being rockstars, happened a lot.

Guns 'n' Roses

The huge ego of Axel Rose was too much for the guitarist of Gun'n'Roses, Slash. Rose would storm off stage for various different reasons, including concert-goers not "rocking out enough", which would set Slash off.

Additionally, Rose began to dabble in drugs and alcohol and would show up extremely late to concerts. Slash couldn't take it anymore and left the group. Miraculously, they did get back together in 2016, before calling it quits again.

It's not always sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll for these bands, sometimes it's fights, dampers, and bogus studio sessions!
