Graham Norton is best known for being the host of BBC's comedy chat show The Graham Norton Show since 2007. Originally from Dublin, Ireland, the 61-year-old television personality is also a five-time BAFTA TV Award winner.

Before making his major breakthrough in television, Graham Norton attended the University College, Cork, where he studied English and French, however, he left school in the 1980s after having a mental breakdown.

Later on, he moved to London where he attended the Central School of Speech and Drama and worked as a waiter. In the early 1990s, he had a stand-up comedy drag act, and during that time he started to be noticed and had a spot as a regular panelist and comedian on BBC Radio 4's show Loose Ends.

BBC's Graham Norton has an impressive television career

Graham Norton is so talented that in 2003 he was listed in The Observer as one of the funniest acts in British comedy. After his early success, the rest is history.

In 2004 he ventured into American television with The Graham Norton Effect, a talk show featuring different celebrities who were usually involved in games and side attractions, relying on audience member participation.

Later on, he appeared on Who Do You Think You Are?, When Will I Be Famous, and The Graham Norton Show, which has sadly just ended!
