"Batman" star Ben Affleck talks sobriety
In his recent interviews, Affleck has opened up about his struggles with drinking. He identified his alcoholism as a main factor that led to the divorce with Garner.
"What happened was that I started drinking more and more when my marriage was falling apart. This was 2015, 2016. My drinking, of course, created more marital problems," Affleck said.
Affleck is now sober, and he stars in the upcoming film, The Way Back. He plays a former basketball star who struggles with alcoholism and regret. He's given a chance at redemption through a coaching job with his old team.
