Born July 30, 1947 in an Austrian village, bodybuilder, actor, and past Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger would be influenced heavily by his strict upbringing. Raised Catholic and always trying to prove himself to his father, Arnold would take up the sport of soccer as a young boy, eventually changing to body building at the age of 15.
Impressed by bodybuilding legends like Steve Reeves, Reg Park, and Johnny Weissmuller, Arnold Schwarzenegger would begin competing competitively by the age of 17. After completing a year of mandatory Austrian military service, Arnold became well-known in Europe as a bodybuilder and would move to London to pursue the Mr. Universe title. Arnold would become the youngest to win the title at the age of 20 and followed the win up with his first of seven Mr. Olympia titles at the age of 23.
