Billie Eilish is taking a stand against bodyshaming. Last night, which was the opening night of the singer's Where Do We Go? world tour, the 18-year-old singer addressed the constant criticism of her appearance in a powerful way. During an interlude at her concert, a video appeared on the screen that showed Eilish taking off the baggy clothes she's known for wearing, revealing her in a tank top.

"You have opinions about my opinions, about my music, about my clothes, about my body," Eilish said in a voiceover while the video played, her words also appearing on screen. "Some people hate what I wear, some people praise it, some people use it to shame others, some people use it to shame me — but I feel you watching".

Eilish's powerful speech about the critiques towards her body

Eilish, who has mentioned before that part of the reason she wears baggy clothes is to avoid becoming oversexualized, continued on with her message. "You make assumptions about people based on their size. We decide who they are. We decide what they’re worth," Eilish said. "If I wear more, if I wear less, who decides what that makes me? What that means? Is my value based only on your perception? Or is your opinion of me not my responsibility?”

Near the end of the video, she's seen shedding yet another layer, taking off her tank top and revealing only a black bra underneath. "If what I wear is comfortable, I am not a woman. If I shed the layers, I am a slut," Eilish says to her audience. "Though you’ve never seen my body, you still judge me for it. Why?"
