Bindi Irwin was just eight years old when her father, the famous "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin, died from a ray attack while filming a documentary. He was only 44 years old at the time. Bindi has followed in his footsteps as a conservation activist, and is remembering her father with a heartbreaking tribute.

Bindi expresses her eternal love for dad Steve

"Steve Irwin Day" is annually celebrated in Australia on November 15th. In honour of the occasion, Bindi Irwin commemorated her father with a special Instagram post. "Your legacy will live on forever. I love you for even longer," she wrote.

To accompany the emotional words, Bindi posted a cute throwback picture of her and Steve together. In the photo, the two are sitting by the water, with Bindi cuddled up to her dad while wearing water wings. Both are smiling at the camera, and the sun seems to be slowly setting in the background.

Bindi's Instagram followers have been very touched by the post, leaving comments such as "He would be so proud of you," "I'm sorry you didn't have more time with him," and "He will never be forgotten." Her tribute this year is especially moving to see since she now has a little one herself! In March 2021, Bindi and her husband Chandler Powell welcomed their baby daughter Grace, and she has said she wants her baby girl to know all about who Steve was.
