A new romance drama series is coming to Netflix this week and the illustrious cast includes an old fan favorite from one of the most popular TV shows ever. Tim Matheson ("Griff King" from Bonanza) stars in Virgin River, a show based on the very successful romance novel by Robyn Carr.

Virgin River: Tim Matheson is "Doc Mullins"

The show tells the story of "Melinda Monroe" (Alexandra Breckenridge) who moves to the remote little town of Virgin River in northern California to have a fresh start in life. She has answered an ad to work in Virgin River as a nurse practitioner. Eventually, "Melinda" discovers that the small town is not what she expected and definitely not as quiet and simple as she first thought.
