Elliott went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Musical Theater Performance from Western Michigan University. While in school, brave and bold Brooke even worked as a waitress at a 1950s-themed restaurant that required her to dance on tables multiple times a shift!

The actress was highly active and was a member of the stage combat theatre group Babes With Blades that landed her roles in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Heathers, and The Miracle Worker. Brooke went on tour for the Beauty and the Beast and was in the original touring cast of Wicked with American Idol star Adam Lambert!

She quickly grew in popularity, landing a spot in Mel Gibson's comedy What Women Want and in a Law & Order spin-off before she scored the starring role in Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva. Drop Dead Diva skyrocketed in popularity, running for 6 addictive seasons and featured countless celebrity guest appearances! Clay Aiken, Lance Bass, Kathy Griffin, Kim Kardashian, Mario Lopez, Joan Rivers, and many others were featured on the series but Brooke told Glamour she was most star-struck when Liza Minelli, Delta Burke, and Rosie O'Donnell all worked in one episode with her!
