Teigen and Legend first shared the news of their loss on September 30, after Teigen was hospitalized for multiple days on a bedrest order. Teigen was only 20 weeks pregnant when she delivered her son, Jack.

Their interview was the first in which they appeared together since their loss, and Teigen and Legend detailed their experience with the host.

The pair, who also share two other children, Luna, 4, and Miles, 2, also shared how they have teamed up with Ronald McDonald House Charities, which helps families with sick children, providing resources and spaces to keep children with their families during trying times.

"Wanting the best for your children and wanting to keep families together, for us, is insanely important," Teigen said during the virtual interview.

"What they're doing is so incredible and so beautiful, and I am so proud to support it," she added.

"Anyone who knows us knows that the most important thing to us is family," she said in her Instagram post encouraging those to donate. "When you're able to lean on loved ones, the hard times always get a little easier."

Elsewhere in the interview, Teigen recounted the devastating details of their loss and revealed how she managed to cope.

"I definitely give myself permission to have complete and utter grief," she said. "Every day is so different, so when people ask me how I'm doing, I always say, 'I'm okay today.'"

Legend added, "I didn't know that we could experience this grief and also share it, but when we did, it really meant so much to so many people and it was such a powerful experience for me to learn that."

"I'm just grateful that my wife was courageous enough to do it," he said.

Teigen then went on to share, "Obviously it's so painful to go through something like this as a woman. Something that was inside your body that you were nurturing and taking care of... but obviously there's a father involved, and the support for the both of us has been so beautiful, so incredible."

The two also went on to share why it was so important to document the moment, and how despite it being uncomfortable, they wanted to keep their son's memory alive. Watch more in the clip above.
