When Chrissy Teigen and John Legend lost their son one year ago, the world mourned alongside the celebrity couple. The devastating pregnancy loss was felt by many, and one year later, Teigen and Legend are ready to get some closure.

Chrissy Teigen Shares "Process" Of Mourning

On her Instagram page, Teigen shared a touching memorial tribute to the little angel in heaven, Jack, and shared that the whole mourning period is a "process".

Dressed in all black, Teigen and Legend, with their two other children Miles, 3, and Luna, 5, sat around a table in a sweet tribute.

Teigen captioned the slew of photos by saying this was an important part of the healing process.

"Took me a year but finally honoured his little spirit with some blessings today. Hopefully, some closure in my heart will happen now," she said.

A year ago, Teigen and Legend said goodbye to their angel baby on September 30, 2020. After a battle with endometriosis, Teigen was put on bed rest before eventually being hospitalized due to excessive bleeding. A few hours later, they delivered the stillborn Jack at just 20 weeks.

This past Tuesday, Teigen also shared a photo on National Son's Day to share her emotional rollercoaster, celebrating the son she has and the son she lost.

"A year ago you gave me the greatest pain I could ever imagine to show me I could survive anything, even if I didn't want to," she captioned the heartbreaking photo.

"They told me it would get easier but yeah, that hasn't started yet. Mom and dad love you forever," she continued.

Teigen also shared earlier this month on her Instagram what it was like physically for her following the loss stating that "When you lose a baby halfway through, your body just pauses. It has nothing to do. No one to feed. And you're just … stuck. Stuck with saggy boobs that were prepping to be milk bags, a belly that was ready to bake."

She added, "I would be lying if I said this did not majorly suck. Not only are you ummmm extremely, diabolically sad at what could have been, but you have this daily reminder every time you look in the goddamn mirror."

While the past year hasn't been easy for the couple, Teigen and John have also shared they've taken some much-needed time as a family, and have enjoyed staying in and reconnecting.
