Christopher Meloni has offered an explanation for that tight-pantsed photo of him that's been trending on Twitter this week.

The photo in question apparently came from the set of Law & Order: SVU, where Meloni was recently seen masked up and posed in such a way that his rear was, shall we say, accentuated.
On Wednesday, the behind-the-scenes shot trended on Twitter, and Meloni has since reacted to all the (ahem) attention he's been getting. Responding to a fan who asked why he "has so much cake," Meloni wrote: "Big birthday (60), big boy (200 lbs), big cake."
The Law & Order actor, after all, did celebrate his 60th birthday last week... Today, Meloni also answered a fan who slyly asked why he's trending on Twitter. "The other Melonis are trending, not me," he tweeted.
And, the attention for Meloni's behind-the-scenes activity on Law & Order goes hand in hand with the popularity of his new series Organized Crime. After a 10-year absence, Meloni returned as "Elliot Stabler" on SVU and launched his own series on Thursday last week.

Organized Crime premiered on April 1 in a crossover event which reunited "Stabler" with his longtime partner "Olivia Benson" (Mariska Hargitay) on SVU. The episodes scored huge ratings, with Organized Crime registering over 10 million views across the live NBC broadcast and Peacock streaming.
