Daniel Radcliffe isn't returning for future "Harry Potter" movies

Radcliffe recently spoke to Variety ahead of his new film, Escape from Pretoria.

He was asked if he would consider reprising his role as "Harry" if an appearance was arranged in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel series.

"I don’t think so," he said. "I don’t like say no to things, but it’s not something that I’m rushing to do. I feel like those films have moved on and they’re doing just fine without us."

Radcliffe is satisfied with the freedom of his current filming schedule.

"I’m happy to keep it that way. I like what my life is now. I’m not saying that I’ll never go back into any franchise, but I like the flexibility that I have with my career now," he said to Variety.

The actor recently appeared in the indie movie, Guns Akimbo. His newest film, Escape from Pretoria, is a prison drama. It debuts on March 6.
