Demi Lovato has shared that her recent weight loss came about in a completely natural way! The singer took to social media on Monday to share how her new approach to health has been transformative for her body, positively affecting her on a physical and spiritual level.

Lovato reveals that she "accidentally lost weight"

Lovato shared a video on Instagram that sees her rocking short dark hair and a crop top while she stands in front of a mirror. She then proceeds to show off her stretchy jeans, zooming in to show how roomy they now are on her! "Accidentally lost weight," she wrote.

The singer has been open about struggling with an eating disorder in the past, and her post made it clear that she's changed her relationship to food. Lovato went on to explain that she doesn't "count calories anymore," "over exercise anymore," or "restrict or purge" her food intake.

Lovato says that she now feels spiritually "full"

Lovato also mentioned that her life is no longer dictated by "diet culture," which has caused her primary focus to shift away from food. Instead, she explained that her fulfilment comes from "peace, serenity, joy, and love," as well as "divine wisdom and cosmic guidance."

The singer also reflected on her ongoing journey of recovery last month while promoting her upcoming YouTube docuseriesDemi Lovato: Dancing With The Devil. She revealed that since her overdose in 2018, she has been dedicating herself to "spiritual growth" and self-improvement, wanting to bring about positivity in the world.
