Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball would begin their tumultuous love affair in 1940. Desi, just 23 at the time, and Lucille, 28, would meet on the set of Two Many Girls. The Cuban-American actor quickly fell in love with the beautiful actress, and the pair wasted no time in tying the knot, marrying just six months later.

Over their 20 years of marriage, Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball would, for the most part, keep the deep love they shared for each other intact and become one of America's favorite TV couples.

Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball are also well remembered for the love story they tell on the popular 1950s sitcom I Love Lucy. Arnaz and Ball made great producers and had amazing chemistry on-screen together, and the sitcom would win five Emmys over the course of its six-year run!

The pair would even manage to write Lucille's second pregnancy into the script of the show. Talk about a power couple!

Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball may have shared a great love for each other but their relationship was not without its fair share of problems. Desi struggled with alcohol abuse and infidelity resulting in Lucille's hesitance to trust her husband. 

Lucille would file for divorce a number of times during their 20 years of marriage, however, their deep love for each other would win until their official divorce in 1960. While Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz would both remarry, they would remain good friends until Arnaz's death in 1986 at the age of 69. 

Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball's love for each other continues to live on through their children, Desi Arnaz Jr.(68) and Lucie Arnaz (69), both of whom have become big stars just like their parents!
