Dustin Diamond a.k.a. "Screech" from Saved By The Bell is currently in the hospital awaiting answers from the doctors.
Dustin Diamond Rushed To Hospital
According to TMZ, Dustin Diamond has a family history riddled with cancer. His mother tragically passed away from breast cancer as well.
Over the weekend he was rushed to the hospital after feeling "pain all over his body" and an uneasy feeling. Now doctors are taking a series of tests and even conducting biopsies on Dustin. His team told E! that "Cancer is likely the prognosis, though doctors are still running tests to figure out what is wrong."
Dustin has had a struggle with substance issues and was the subject of headline fodder for years after his arrests and adult film ventures but in recent years seems to have cleaned himself up.
Unfortunately, he was not asked to be a part of the NBC reboot of Saved By The Bell but he was mentioned in an episode. Mario Lopez's character "A.C. Slater," said, "Screech is so lucky he and Kevin get to live on the International Space Station, so he doesn't have to deal with all this!"
"Screech" was one of the few cast members that were featured in every single episode of the original series and the films. He does seem a bit disappointed to be left out and has spoken to TMZ about why he deserves to be included and is hopeful that he will be in the future.
Our fingers are crossed for Dustin and his family and we hope he gets answers soon.
