Dwayne Johnson is the most-followed man in America on Instagram. And his numbers just reached a record-setting high. On Tuesday, "The Rock" shared a message celebrating his 200 million-follower accomplishment — and he felt the moment was right to get real with his fanbase.

Dwayne Johnson's message after Instagram followers record

Johnson joins an exclusive club in reaching the 200 million mark, alongside only Ariana Grande (203 million) and international soccer star Cristiano Rinaldo (239 million). On the occasion, he shared an uplifting post, narrowing in on the message: "Always speak your truth."

The 48-year-old star spoke on the need to engage in "uncomfortable" conversations, a message that follows his recent endorsement of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the 2020 U.S. presidential election. At the time, the venture into politics was not well-received by segments of his fanbase. His Instagram follow count continues to grow all the same, now at 200.1 million.

But Johnson says: "I'm confident that on the other side of us having an uncomfortable conversation is going to be clarity" as well as "progress." Watch below.

Johnson thanked fans for allowing him the space to speak his truth and toasted with a glass of Teremana to celebrate his new record as the most-followed man in America. His thoughts are also outlined in writing below the video, seen above.

Off-screen, the father of three celebrated his first wedding anniversary with wife Lauren Hashian last month. On the day, they shared a wedding video with intimate footage from the ceremony and a song written by Hashian.
