Last year the descendants of Elvis Presley († 42) suffered a tragic loss. Elvis' only grandson and Lisa Marie Presley's only son Benjamin Keough committed suicide at 27-years-old. On the first anniversary of his death, his close sister is sharing sweet and personal photos of her brother in his memory.

Riley Keough's Sweet Words For Benjamin

Elvis's granddaughter Riley posted an adorable photo of her and Benjamin together as small children exactly one year to the day (July 12th, 2020) that he passed away. Along with the photo of the siblings holding hands, she wrote a touching message. She captioned the photo with "Today has been a year without you baby brother. I miss you endlessly every day."

She also shared countless photos of her younger brother on her Instagram story and described her last encounter with Benjamin. She wrote "I didn't hug you properly because I thought you had Covid. I wish I had hugged you properly." She also shared countless photos of the pair throughout their lives together.

You can see just how closely bonded the pair were in her Instagram story and highlights. She has an entire album dedicated solely to her brother where she showed the two even got each other's name as a tattoo. Much has changed in the life of the actress, who starred in the hit film Mad Max: Fury Road and Riverdale. Since she lost her brother, she has put acting on hold to become a companion for those with terminal life spans in hospice.

She recently told InStyle how difficult it has been for her to cope with the loss of someone so important to her and what she is doing to manage her pain. "I'm really consciously trying to be present, and not use anything as any kind of escape, and be cognizant of when I'm doing that. I'm just generally trying to be grateful for everything at the moment, trying to operate in love and keep my heart open, and give and receive love. And not in a woo-woo way, because I definitely have hard days, and all kinds of pain and suffering and all that."

"But I think when you realize that's part of it, and your expectation isn't to just be feeling joy, that's been a real shift for me in finding those moments and things to smile about."

Her bravery is inspiring and she has proven to be a pillar of strength for her mother, Lisa Marie Presley. Elvis Presley's only daughter has had an incredibly difficult time adapting to a new life without her son and has been having to fight to avoid slipping back into addiction while in a vicious custody battle with her ex-husband Michael Lockwood.
