The Big Bang Theory "Emily" first appeared in season seven of the hit CBS series. Before Laura Spencer was playing our favorite of "Raj's" girlfriends, she would get her start playing small roles in series like 2 Broke Girls, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behaviour, and Switched at Birth.
Her biggest role before The Big Bang Theory was as "Jane Bennet" in The Lizzie Bennett Diaries, a web series adapted from the classic Jane Austen novel, Pride and Prejudice. Laura would star in 34 episodes of the series before landing her next big role!

Laura Spencer would star as The Big Bang Theory's "Emily Sweeney" for four seasons from 2014 to 2017. "Emily" would begin dating "Raj" in The Big Bang Theory's seventh season and to our excitement would stick around for a while.
At the same time as playing "Emily" on The Big Bang Theory, Laura Spencer also began another big role in 2014 as "Jessica Warren" on Bones. Just like The Big Bang Theory, Laura would stay with the hit crime drama for four seasons.

Laura Spencer hasn't taken on any big mainstream roles since her time on The Big Bang Theory and Bones, but she has used the time to take on smaller projects like her film photo project titled "AfterLife". The project documents life after her brother's death through the use of his camera.
In happier news, the 34-year-old actress married the love of her life, Michael Jack Greenwald back in 2019, and the pair parent their adorable dogs Annie and Gertie together. We look forward to more great things to come from The Big Bang Theory's "Emily".
