Gillian Jacobs is best known for her role on Community as "Britta Perry". Born October 19, 1982 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Gillian spent her childhood preparing for her future career. At the age of eight she began taking acting classes at a local theatre company, working her way up to leading roles, and eventually moving to NYC after graduation to attend Juilliard.
Growing up in Pennsylvania, her family actually owned the former Lake Erie Brewing Company which plays a large part in her abstinence from alcohol today. Watching many members of her family suffer from alcohol addiction, she made the choice to become a teetotaler at an early age!
