Gwen Stefani has revealed why she doesn't want to say "I do" just yet! As Entertainment Tonight shares, Stefani opened up about her engagement to Blake Shelton in a new radio interview on Monday, and revealed why she's not in any rush to get married during the pandemic!

Stefani says she feels like she's living "in a cartoon"

Stefani has only been engaged to Shelton since October, and admitted that she's not quite used to her new relationship status! "It's so funny to even say 'engaged' because it feels so weird," the singer said during Monday's On Air With Ryan Seacrest.

"We've been saying it so long for like five years, 'Are you getting married? Are you engaged?' And now we actually are engaged," she explained. "I feel like I'm in a cartoon or something." A source told Entertainment Tonight that Shelton took a "traditional" approach to proposing to Stefani, making sure her family was in on his plan!

Stefani wants her parents to come to her wedding

Stefani is close with her family, which is why she said that she doesn't want to get married without her mom and dad getting to be part of her special day! "I would say I just want my parents there at this point," she revealed. "My parents wouldn't come to Thanksgiving because they're so scared."

While some people have gotten married during the pandemic, Stefani doesn't see the appeal. "Really would rather it not be a COVID situation. Would rather not have masks and that kind of thing," she continued. "Even when you cut it down to just family, it's still too many people for COVID. We're sort of going to see what happens in the next few months."

Back in October, Stefani revealed that she wasn't familiar with her now-fiancé Shelton before the two met as coaches on The Voice. She also recently released an upbeat new single, "Let Me Reintroduce Myself," which is her first pop song in years!
