We all want to see Harry Styles as "Prince Eric" in the upcoming The Little Mermaid reboot alongside Halle Bailey as "Ariel", but sadly the One Direction singer has not been confirmed as a cast member, USA Today reports.

Fans were very excited to hear that a new The Little Mermaid reboot will be released in the upcoming months! A couple of days ago it was announced that Harry Styles would play the role of "Prince Eric", but sad news is that the One Direction singer won't actually be part of the film.

Just a couple of weeks ago it was revealed that Harry was in talks to play the iconic "Prince Eric" and fans couldn't be any happier! The fact of seeing him opposite Halle Bailey who was cast in the role of "Ariel" sounded more than exciting, however, as of today she is the only cast member confirmed for the upcoming movie.

Who else might join the cast of The Little Mermaid reboot?

What the full cast of The Little Mermaid will look like is still a mystery. We are all still waiting to learn if other stars like Javier Bardem, Melissa McCarthy, Jacob Tremblay and Awkwafina will actually join the upcoming Disney reboot which will start production in 2020!
