The 34 year old supermodel gets candid, and opens up about navigating through her new life

For the first time since their split in 2019, Shayk lets her wall down in an exclusive interview for British Vogue, explaining how she feels now that her life is full of changes.

“I think in all good relationships you bring your best and your worst – it’s just the nature of a human being. Two great people don’t have to make a good couple,” Shayk says.

Shayk admits that life as a new single mother will bring out its challenges, and some days are harder than others.

“It’s hard to find a balance between being a single mom and being a working woman and provider,” Shayk shared. “Trust me, there are days I wake up and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I don’t know what to do, I’m falling apart.’”

In June 2019 Cooper and Shayk had broken up, despite engagement rumours just months prior, and were amicably working out how to share custody of their daughter.

Shayk kept most of the details still private. “Because my work requires me to be out there, I just decided my personal life will be quiet. That’s why it’s called personal, because it’s something for you and your family, and I feel happy with it," she says.

Shayk will appear on the cover of the March 2020 British Vogue cover.
