Jeremy Renner's Messy Divorce

At first, Jeremy Renner asked the public for privacy for his ex-wife during their divorce until she threw terrible accusations at him, like leaving drugs around their daughter and endangering her and threatening to kill his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco.

Jeremy has continued to stay silent on the split while she applied for sole custody of their 7-year old daughter Ava and increasing child support and alimony. Sole custody was denied, and instead, Jeremy and Sonni came to an agreement to share joint custody, and Jeremy would pay $13,000 a month in child support.

As Jeremy's career skyrocketed with his role as "Hawkeye" in The Avengers, the amount of child support shot up as well. The exes agreed his yearly payments to her would not exceed $200,000 a year and anything over would be put in a trust for 7-year old Ava with very specific rules for use. The funds from the trust were to be saved for her education, camp, childcare, and uncovered medical and dental expenses.

Jeremy Renner Alleges Ex-Wife Misuses Daughter's Trust Money

Jeremy has now filed documents to the court alleging that Sonni has transferred almost $50,000 from Ava's trust to Sonni's personal account over the past two years.

Renner's legal team have submitted emails where Sonni "admitted transferring funds from the minor's trust account to her personal account in violation of the Court's Order, stating: 'The money transfers to my bank were to keep [me] afloat/provide [the minor] Christmas presents/birthday gift bags and essentials for her bday party - after all my savings were spent on lawyers/child custody evaluator."

She also admits to using Ava's trust money to pay her property taxes. Sonni is claiming that due to the divorce and child custody legal fees she was forced to use her daughter's trust money for other reasons than what they originally agreed. Renner is reasonably upset that the money he puts into his daughter's trust is also being used for Sonni's attorney's fees.

Hopefully, the drama surrounding this issue is sorted soon so Ava's future is not negatively affected.
