Kelly Preston would have celebrated her 58th birthday today, Oct. 13.
The beloved actress, wife, and mother passed away in July after a two-year battle with breast cancer. She left behind her husband of 28 years, John Travolta, and two children, Ella and Benjamin. On the first birthday since Preston's passing, Travolta remembered his late wife in an Instagram tribute.

Travolta marked the sad day with bittersweet memories of his loved ones. "Happy Birthday hon!" Travolta wrote. "I found this photo of my mom and dad's wedding. It was nice to see ours alongside theirs. All my love, John," he signed off.
The tribute came with a photo of Travolta's own parents, Salvatore and Helen, on their wedding day, beside a shot of his and Preston's 1991 ceremony. They would have celebrated their 29th anniversary last month.

On July 12, Travolta heartbreakingly announced on social media Preston's passing at the age of 57. "It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many," he wrote. "Kelly's love and life will always be remembered."
The 66-year-old Grease star also honoured his wife's memory in August, sharing a dance with their daughter Ella. "Dancing in memory of momma," Travolta wrote. "One of Kelly’s favorite things, dancing with me."
