In what could possibly be his last appearance on the series, Smollett participated in an episode for the record books. Co-star Gabby Sidibe took to Twitter as well as Instagram (picture below) to promote the episode. It is uncertain if Smollett will return to the show, following accusations that he staged a hate crime against himself. The charges against Smollett have since been dropped, and his co-stars, Taraji P. Henson among them, are advocating for his return to the series.
