While Kim Kardashian says she and her estranged husband Kanye West are split, it would seem Kanye isn't taking that as a be-all and end-all and says he still considers Kardashian his wife.

West said that he hopes he can still make it work and that he hasn't officially seen any papers, therefore they're still an item. This is coming just days after Kardashian has sparked rumours she's with SNL comedian, Pete Davidson.

Kanye says it's not the end of his marriage

On Thursday's podcast of Drink Champs, the rap legend went on to disclose some more insider information on his apparent split between Kim Kardashian and says for him, it's not over.

Earlier this year, Kardashian filed for divorce from her husband over "irreconcilable differences," but the two are still seen together frequently.

"Cause she's still my wife," he said, after referring to her as such. "Ain't no paperwork."

He then goes on to make a comment about her appearance on SNL in October, which sparked headlines for Kardashian's ruthless jokes.

"SNL making my wife say 'I divorced him' on TV because they just wanted to get that bar off," he said, referring to the joke Kardashian made that she divorced Kanye for his "personality."

He added, "I ain't never even seen the papers, we're not even divorced."

"That ain't no joke to me," he continued. "My kids want their parents to stay together. I want us to be together."

This heartbreaking comment comes after Kardashian was seen with Pete Davidson holding hands at Disneyland, which sparked rumours the two are together romantically.

While some insiders are sharing they're just friends, another source said that there "is definitely chemistry" between them, and that "Kim loves the attention."

Kardashian and West share four children together, North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2. A source close to the couple disclosed to People last month that the two are dedicated to co-parenting as best they can and "remain amicable".

"They were not in a good place around the time Kim filed for divorce. She is so happy that things are better now," the insider said.
