Hollywood's favourite nice guy has some ideas for the future, and he's not afraid to put them out there! The 57-year-old actor has made some iconic films in his almost 40 years in Hollywood, but there's one franchise he wants in on...
While interviewing with Esquire magazine, Reeves shared that he has an appreciation for the directors and screenwriters for the highly popularized Marvel films, and wants to explore that for himself!
Keanu Reeves wants in on Marvel
While interviewing for the December issue of Esquire, Reeves shared that he's ready for action if it comes to joining in on the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
When asked if he would ever want a part in the films, Reeves replied, "It would be an honour. Some really amazing directors and visionaries. They're doing something no one's ever really done."
He continued, "It's special in that sense, in terms of the scale, the ambition, the production. So it'd be cool to be a part of that."
Reeves, who is promoting Matrix Resurrections also touched on his past films, and the work that he's done. The actor has made over 65 films, and is continuing to make more!
"There's always a relationship, a drama, a circumstance, in storytelling," he said of filmmaking. "But for me, it's cool when a work of art can entertain but also be inspirational or challenging."
Reeves added, "It can be everything from 'Be excellent to each other' in the circumstances of Bill and Ted, and those characters going against all odds, to The Matrix, which is, you know, 'What truth?' Confronting systems of control and thinking about will, and love, and who we are and how we are."
The future will be full of Reeves! His current film, Matrix Resurrections is coming out December 22, and the fourth chapter of John Wick will be in theatres in May 2022.
