While promoting her new cookbook on Good Morning America, the reality star also touched on what it's like parenting in the public's eye, and how she often gets mom-shamed for her choices as a parent.

Sharing three children with Jay Cutler, Camden, 8, Jaxon, 6, and Saylor, 5, Cavallari says it's not been easy parenting amid the divorce, especially when people have comments to make on her social media!

Amid her divorce, Cavallari came under scrutiny over photos she posted of her with her friends, as people commented that she should be spending time with her children instead.

"To be honest, I don't read comments on Instagram," she said on the show. "So I don't catch wind of those comments unless my best friend Justin [Anderson] decides to go on and read my comments and respond to people or whatever it is."

Anderson fired back at those with negative comments saying, "Don't call out a mother on Instagram to try and make yourself feel better."

“My oldest son is 8 1/2 and, the second I became a mom people have always loved to criticize some of my decisions," she revealed.

"It’s the one area of my life that I’m so confident in. I know what a good mom I am. I know that I’m doing the best for me and my family," she said.

She added, "It’s really just noise, to be honest. I don’t let any of that stuff really affect me."

Cavallari has always been on the same page with her ex when it comes to protecting her children and their identities. When Very Cavallari was on the air, her children never made an appearance, and on her social media, she never shows their faces.

She's always maintained that they should choose whether or not they want to be in the public's eye, and that it's not for her to decide.

Cavallari has opened up in 2020 to ET about how she and her children have been handling the divorce, saying that through it all, it's always been about making her kids happy.

"I’m really just focusing on my kids and making sure that my kids are good. That’s my only priority at the moment, and they’re handling it well," she said at the time.

Despite Very Cavallari being cancelled, Uncommon James, her fashion and home goods brand, is still doing well.
