Kyra Sedgwick recently brought up a hilarious incident that once happened when she went over to Tom Cruise's place for dinner! During Wednesday's episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, Sedgwick talked about how she caused a commotion that night after making an innocent mistake— without even realizing!

Sedgwick says she pressed mystery button at Cruise's house

Sedgwick mentioned having worked with Cruise before, and shared that her husband Kevin Bacon had been filming 1992's A Few Good Men with the actor at the time of the dinner party. "So we got invited over for dinner with lots of famous people like Demi Moore and Bruce Willis," Sedgwick told Barrymore.

The Call Your Mother star shared that Rob Reiner and Nicole Kidman were in attendance that night as well. Then, she explained how her curiosity got the best of her! Sedgwick said she "was looking around and there was this little button underneath the mantle." But instead of leaving it alone, she decided to press the button, since she had "thought maybe something interesting will happen."

Sedgwick "didn't get invited back" to Cruise's dinner party

Sedgwick continued her story by saying that the result of her spontaneous button-pressing seemed anticlimactic at first. "Nothing happened and then I got a little nervous," she explained. That's when she told Cruise what she had done, and things took an unforeseen turn.

"And he was like, 'You pressed that button?' And I was like, 'Yeah, I pressed that button,'" the actress said. "And he goes, 'That's the panic button.'" Sedgwick shared that police showed up at the house, and Cruise had to talk to them! "I think there were more than like five cop cars, it was something," she shared. "I didn't get invited back."
