On December 30, Leonardo DiCaprio, star of Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood, was vacationing on a Yacht off the coast of St. Barts in the Caribbean with his girlfriend Camilla Morrone and some friends when a distress call came in.

A crew member had fallen off a yacht operated by Club Med, so DiCaprio decided to change course in search for the man who had gone overboard although the actor was hours away from the suspected location.

Leonardo DiCaprio and his crew saved a man from drowning!

ET Canada learned from a source, that nobody else was actually looking for the 24-year-old man but DiCaprio's boat. The actor and his crew eventually spotted the man, who had been treading water for 11 hours by this point.

And it was just in the nick of time that they pulled him out of the water - it was one hour before nightfall and there was a storm heading his way.

A source told The Sun: "The captain put the man's chances of survival at one in a billion — like winning the lottery twice."
