Born on August 3, 1963, in Pennsylvania, Lisa Ann Walter grew up in Germany and then eventually settled in Washington D.C, where she obtained a theatre degree. Before her acting career, she actually did stand-up comedy! Soon after, she starred in the Fox comedy My Wildest Dreams and the ABC sitcom Life's Work in the mid to late '90s.

Lisa starred in The Parent Trap in 1998, alongside Dennis Quaid and Lindsay Lohan. She still remains close friends with Simon Kunz (who played the butler in the movie) and Elaine Hendrix (the cruel "Meredith Blake")!
After her success with The Parent Trap, Walter also starred in hit films Bruce Almighty, Shall We Dance?, and War of the Worlds.
Her more recent works include appearing in a few popular TV shows, such as Grey's Anatomy (2019), Sydney to the Max (2020), and Pandemically Single (2020).
In her personal life, Walter has four children. She was previously married to TV producer Sam Baum. Similarly to Parent Trap, Walter had a set of twins herself just a few years after the film!
