In early October, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids actor Rick Moranis was involved in a shocking attack in New York City. Finally, the attacker has been found.

Man Who Attacked Rick Moranis Caught

Rick Moranis, the 67-year-old Spaceballs actor was sucker-punched in a shocking attack by a stranger back in October. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries and luckily only suffered minor injuries.

The NYPD released video and still images of the attacker in hopes of the public coming together to identify him. Now the NYPD has just announced that they have found the attacker.

Countless were shocked at the random attack, including high profile celebs like Chris Evans who tweeted out "My blood is boiling. Find this man. You don't touch Rick Moranis." According to the New York Post, the 35-year old assailant had a slew of arrests and felonies before. 

Along with more than a dozen arrests, the suspect even had randomly attacked others including a 61-year-old gentleman who was knocked to the ground. When the victim's friend attempted to help, the suspect bit his hand but eventually fled when a woman "thwacked him on the head with an umbrella."

This attack was only 2-weeks after his attack on the Ghostbusters actor and a few months after punching a 23-year old woman in the face after demanding money. The attacker now has been charged with 3 stranger assault cases in New York City. 

Fans are overjoyed that the man has finally been caught. One fan commented on the NYPD's post with "That'll teach you to mess with Moranis!"
