Posting to her Instagram, Brown tearfully explained what happened, sharing that she's okay but really shaken.

While Christmas shopping with her mom, Brown revealed that a girl approached her and asked if she was the Stranger Things actress. When Brown confirmed, the fan asked if she could take a video of the actress, but Brown declined.

"Why would anyone want to be taken a video of?" she said in the clip. "Of me, you know? It's not like the both of us. Of me."

"I don't need to justify it to anyone," Brown added. "If I don't want to be taken a video of, I don't have to be."

Brown then went on to share that despite saying no multiple times, the girl started to film her anyway.

"I was paying and she walked past me and began to video me again," Brown explained. "And I said, 'I'm a human being. Like, what more can I ask from you?'"

"It just makes me upset when people try to push the boundary, and I just wish people were more respectful," Brown added.

"I'm still trying to navigate this all and it's still overwhelming. ... Where are my rights to say no?" she added, getting emotional.

She then ended her clip asking fans to be more respectful, and treat others as they would hope to be treated.

"You have to show more respect for others, no matter who they are, what they do," she said. "It's just manners."
