Born on August 3rd, 1973, Michael Ealy was born in Washington D.C. to a father who worked in the grocery business and a mother who worked for IBM. This Maryland native actually graduated with a degree in English!

Ealy began his career in the '90s in off-Broadway productions. His first film credits include Kissing Jessica Stein (2001), Bad Company (2002), Barbershop (2002), and 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003).
By 2005, Ealy had received a Black Reel Award for Outstanding Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series for the mini-series Their Eyes Were Watching God, produced by Oprah Winfrey and Quincy Jones.
Michael received his next big nomination for Sleeper Cell, where he Golden Globe-nominated for Best Actor – Miniseries or Television Film.
It was in 2012 when he appeared alongside an ensemble cast of Taraji P. Henson, Jerry Ferrara, Meagan Good, Regina Hall, Kevin Hart, and Gabrielle Union in the comedy Think Like a Man. The film earned an impressive $96 million worldwide, against a $12.5 million budget.
Today, Ealy has been in many TV series and movies! In 2019, Michael appeared in the horror-thriller film, The Intruder opposite Dennis Quaid. He seems to have a liking towards this genre, as he appeared in another horror flick, Jacob's Ladder, also in 2019!
TV-wise, Ealy starred in the drama Being Mary Jane, with fellow TLAM co-star Gabrielle Union from 2017-2019. His current project is in another drama-genre series, Stumptown, which was renewed for another season last year!

In his private life, Michael has been married to Khatira Rafiqzada since October 2012. The pair had been together for four years before tying the knot in Los Angeles! The beautiful couple has two children - a son, Elijah and a daughter, Harlem.
