Naya Rivera's dad George opened up to Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier about his beautiful daughter and rumors circulating the media.

Naya Rivera's Sister and Ryan Dorsey

After the sudden and tragic drowning of beloved Glee star Naya Rivera, her ex-husband Ryan Dorsey became a single father. The two had a bit of turmoil while they were together but they were the epitome of role model co-parents.

Ryan and Naya maintained a close and loving relationship for years after their split for the sake of their sweet son Josey Hollis. Sadly, the momma's boy Josey was left motherless.

Luckily, Naya's sister Nickayla moved in with Ryan and Josey to help fill the wide void left when Naya passed away. But now the media is making speculations about a suspicious relationship between Ryan and Nickayla. Ryan told ET that it was actually Josey who had asked Nickayla to move in, not Ryan himself.

Now Naya and Nickayla's dad has something to say about the situation. He told ET's Kevin Frazier, "I'm used to paparazzi, not me myself, but I'm used to hearing about the paparazzi. I'm used to hearing about people's opinions and if you're going to sit and let any people's opinions guide any kind of decisions for you, I don't know if you've got the inner strength to either be in the business or do something right, so that didn't bother me at all because we knew we were doing the right thing, and that's what we did."

George only has great things to say about his former son-in-law actor Ryan Dorsey. He said, "You learn a lot about people and you learn a lot about relationships when you go through something like this and I couldn't thank Ryan enough for the father he has become."

"I have always had respect for Ryan. I have always thought that he was a stand-up guy and my opinion is... I'm just more proud of him now than I ever would have been through this period."

He also stated his pride for his surviving daughter Nickayla who he describes as "an amazing individual, she has got a lot of lover for her sister, very close. Again, we talk about pride as a father, really, it's not about modeling, it's not about acting ... it's about what type of person you are. That's what it shows me, what type of person she is -- very strong and resilient, right, that's what you have to be. You have to understand, we have to overcome some things, do the best you can with what you have."

Nickayla also addressed the d the rumors on Instagram, writing that she did not care about "In the darkest times of my life, the only thing that is important is my friends and family. Showing up for my nephew, even though I can't show up for myself."

"I'm not concerned with the way things look because no one can see each agonizing moment we all endure. What matters most I've learned, is to show compassion, not to judge others, and never take a moment of life for granted. I hope you all can do the same."

The world sadly lost the big-hearted and shining star on July 8th, 2020 after a scary swim in Lake Piru, where she sacrificed her life to save her young son Josey.
