Orlando Bloom knows exactly what fatherhood has in store for him — and he's all for it.

The 43-year-old English actor is about to become a dad for the second time, but for the first with his current fiancée, Katy Perry. The American musician, 35, is expected to give birth later this summer to her first child.

Today, Bloom opened up about his excitement for the newborn's arrival, and got detailed about what he can't wait to experience as a father once more.

What Orlando Bloom's looking forward to about fatherhood

Speaking to Good Morning America, Bloom shared that he's happily anticipating peaceful early moments with his soon-to-be growing family.

"There's quiet times at home, just you and the family and the little one, just nursing and sort of being present, seeing where you can help and what you can do to nurture the life into the world," he told GMA.

"I'm really looking forward to those very late nights where I will be getting and doing the breastfeed bottle thing," Bloom added. "I'm looking forward to that because I love those quiet times at night when the world feels like it is asleep and you've got a sleeping baby."

"It's a magical time when an energy pops into the planet, which is what it feels like for me," Bloom said.

Bloom is familiar with such experiences, having fathered a son with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr. Their son, Flynn, was born in 2011.
