Volver is a 2006 Spanish drama influenced by Italian neorealism and portrays intense themes such as loneliness, death, and magic realism. Penélope Cruz is "Raimunda" caught in a world influenced by ghosts of her and her family's past. It is a gorgeous film, filled with gorgeous color and a story so extraordinary you can't look away.

The Spanish drama is centered around Antonio Banderas' character "Salvador" and his life in crisis pushed to consume heroin. He suffers many flashbacks during his drug-induced state, confusing memory and reality of his time with his past lovers and his mother played by gorgeous Penélope Cruz.
