He has now revealed via Twitter that he is in the clear for the scary virus "UPDATE: My COVID-19 test was negative. Piers' GMB Colleagues Joke He Wanted Time Off

Piers' co-workers at Good Morning Britain announced the news as well and had a little fun while Piers was stuck at home. Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard joked he was home because he wanted a nap and Dr. Hilary Jones said: "I think he just wants to get his car cleaned."

His colleagues wished him all the best and then used the opportunity to explain to the public why they were not self-isolating. Dr. Jones states "I spoke to Piers yesterday and he doesn't have symptoms normally associated with COVID-19, but as he said, out of an abundance of precaution he has taken the test."
