• Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was a popular reality series
  • The show followed Alana Thompson and her family
  • Find out what her sister Pumpkin is doing now

Toddlers & Tiara's fans will remember the wildly bold and confident Alana Thompson A.k.a "Honey Boo Boo". She even earned her own spin-off series entirely following her and her super fun family!

Then her mother Mama June went through an incredible weight loss transformation and the show was altered to Mama June: From Not To Hot. Unfortunately, the series did not last as much as fans would have liked because Mama June began a serious relationship with a man name Geno Doak who at first was a great addition to the family but eventually became a bad influence and negative force in the Shannon/Thompson home.

Pumpkin From Honey Boo Boo: The Big Sisters Fight To Protect Honey Boo Boo

We watched as Mama June quickly spiraled into a world of drugs and addiction with her partner Geno who verbally accosted her, controlled her, cheated on her, and brought her life into shambles with her. It got so terrible that young Honey Boo Boo was scared to continue living in her mother's home after her drug arrests and seeing terrible things

Who maintains her custody?

This is where her big sister, sweet and protective Pumpkin from Honey Boo Boo stepped in. Unfortunately, Alana's father Sugar Bear was not stable enough to take in his daughter, and instead, Pumpkin brought her younger sister in and has been raising Alana for the past year.

Pumpkin From Honey Boo Boo Today

Young Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon had lived with June and Alana until she became pregnant with sweet little Ella Grace and moved out and married her boyfriend Joshua Efird. June was endlessly supportive and helped take care and house Ella before Pumpkin from Honey Boo Boo moved out. Then as Alana's home life became scary during Mama June's battle with drugs Pumpkin immediately stepped in and took Alana to her home for safety and love. Alana was especially grateful and told her mom during an intervention that she was not living with her sister by choice but because she is scared to live with her mother.

Lauryn has done her best to shield her baby sister from their mother's atrocious behavior and headline-making antics while still balancing her own family and trying to get help for her drug-addicted mother. Mama June even sold her house and all of Honey Boo Boo's belongings and gave a few drug dealers her daughter's information forcing Lauryn, Alana, and her family to move because drug dealers were coming to their house looking to get paid.

We have been watching all of this unfold on Mama June: Family Crisis and now we are seeing once unavailable and unhelpful Sugar Bear and his controlling wife try and get custody of Honey Boo Boo, against Honey Boo Boo's wishes. In the final episodes of the season, we will see a showdown between Sugar Bear, his wife, Lauryn, and Alana when they threaten to take Alana even though Sugar Bear had been an absent father and had not paid a dime of support to Lauryn while she raised Alana.

Fans are so proud and supportive of Alana and Lauryn's impressive strength in overcoming the life-changing events of the past few years. We can't wait to see what's in store for these tough sisters' futures, but whatever they do we will be sure to tune in!
