"Queen Sono's" romantic interest "Shandu" in the new Netflix series is a force to be reckoned with.

Vuyo Dabula has reached an impressive popularity in his home country of South Africa. He had a starring role in the film Five Fingers for Marseilles, a recurring role in the hit show Generations, and even a spot in Marvel's Avengers: Age Of Ultron!

Vuyo is quite the interesting man, very spiritual and very dedicated. He used to have a "no-kissing" rule when taking roles until he realized the rule was limiting his opportunities. Dabula is also a boxing fanatic who competed in the South African Boxing Awards!

Once he earned the role for Netflix' Queen Sono, he learned about his character and realized he would have to bulk up and train. "When I read about Shandu and the more I talked about the character, I realized he's highly skilled" Vuyo said, which inspired him to train intensively twice a day for 30 days to get ripped for the Netflix filming.
