During the pandemic, the Australian actress has set her sights on achieving a healthier lifestyle, which has produced visible results. The Bridesmaids star has lost at least 40 pounds in recent months, thanks to a routine that includes a balanced diet and regular exercise.

Rebel Wilson reveals she used to eat up to 3,000 calories 

In January, Wilson declared that 2020 would be a healthy year and, since then, she has remained committed. However, the 40-year-old actress explained that, prior to her new lifestyle, she used to consume about 3,000 calories a day, mainly carbohydrates. "I would still be hungry," she explained to People magazine.

The star of Pitch Perfect now mostly consumes protein, which has been challenging as she also pointed out that she was not used to eating a lot of meat. Chicken and fish are now some of the main courses on her regular menu.

Of course, the Sydney native admitted to cheating from time to time. "It doesn't mean every week is a healthy week," she explained. "I'm just trying to go for overall balance." Wilson said that her philosophy is that "nothing is forbidden," so she enjoys whatever she craves in the moment — but now, with a careful eye on portion size.

Many people in the world have adapted to lockdown by changing their routines while staying at home. For Wilson, this was a positive because the health crisis forced her to create a new health routine while her work was on hiatus.
