Reflecting on her time in the film, Witherspoon reveals it was a very fond memory and a time in her career she will always recall as being very rewarding.

Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon were the perfect match in the 2005 biopic of Johnny Cash's rise to fame, Walk The Line, earning them both multiple awards for their performances.
This Wednesday the actress posted to Instagram a sweet pic dedicated to her time on set, featuring a photo of her cuddled up on a couch with her costar Phoenix.
"Wow! Today marks 15 years since the release of #WalktheLine," she wrote. "Playing the role of June Carter was one of the most rewarding experiences of my lifetime."
"From the stunning costumes created by [Arianne Phillips] to recording all of those classic country songs with T. Bone Burnett, to the incredible scenes written and directed by James Mangold, I felt completely transformed into an authentic country artist," she continued.
"I will never forget the proposal scene… how Joaquin looked with the light beaming behind him asking June to marry him in front of a full audience. You could hear a pin drop," she concluded. "Thank you to the entire cast and crew for bringing Johnny & June’s love story to life."
Witherspoon won an Oscar for Best Actress for her role of June Carter and the film was nominated for four other Oscar Awards, including Best Actor for Phoenix.
