Robin McLaurin Williams was born on July 21, 1951, in Chicago. Unlike some comedians, Robin did well in school and was class president. In 1973, got a scholarship to Juilliard and was only one of two who were accepted into the advanced program that year. The other was actor Christopher Reeve.
