50 years of friendship is reportedly over between Sir Elton John and Rod Stewart. The musicians are currently in a "spat" over a joke that Stewart made toward John regarding his farewell tours.
Rod Stewart: "Money-grabbing" farewell tours
Rod Stewart had an interview with Scottish Radio and talked about why his friendship with Sir Elton John is no longer the same. "I do love Elton, only we’re not talking at the moment. We’ve had a spat, because I criticized his tour as being money-grabbing," Stewart explained.
Last March, Rod Stewart appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and commented on Elton John's most recent "Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour." He said that "it stinks of selling tickets." Stewart did try to reconnect with his old pal by sending him an e-mail but he never received a response. Hopefully these two find a way to patch things up!
